A SONG FOR THE DIVINE

A meditation based upon Psalm 135

Where do we go to praise the Divine

in our houses of worship

Why do we praise the Divine

because the Holy One is good

How do we praise the Divine

singing always works

What shall our song be

A verse about the greatness of the Divine

about how the Divine is above all others

A verse about how the Divine is powerful over all

all in heaven and earth

all from the depth of the seas to the heights of the sky

A verse about how the Divine will overcome

all who wish to do us harm

A verse about how the Divine is forever

in name, in fame, in judgment

A verse about how the Divine is like no other

the Holy One, not human-made

but one who speaks with us, sees us, hears us

who breathes into us a living spirit

And a rousing chorus of blessing

That will be a great way to praise the Divine
