A meditation based upon Psalm 96

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for some good news

I’d like to hear something new

not the same ‘ole, same ‘ole

All this doom and gloom is getting me down

How about some words of blessing

How about more stories about miracle workers

the people who surprise us with their second-mile caring

whose hands and feet do the talking

I don’t need to hear, anymore,

about people who are only looking out for themselves

I cannot abide another conspiracy theory

Let’s give credit where credit is due

We are nothing without the Divine

That’s newsworthy

Look around, the earth could have told you this

This beautiful orb is the best news station

Tune in, and see if your heart rejoices once more
