STOP YOU IN YOUR TRACKS

A meditation based upon Psalm 76

Some think they are the only ones who know the Divine

They think they can define the Holy One with names

or, they are fairly certain about where the Divine dwells

Be careful with such ideas

For you may limit the Holy to only your imagination

The Divine cannot be contained nor confined

You can be assured of this

That the Divine is beyond knowing

beyond the most beautiful thing on this earth

beyond the most powerful thing on this earth

Know that, whenever you do encounter the Divine

it will be a stop-you-in-your-tracks moment

And you will be consumed in awe
