A prayer based upon Psalm 23

O Holy Divine,

We ask for your gentle care

to cover us in a way that satisfies all needs

We long for your calming, pastoral rest,

and the return of our souls

Help us to follow your just guidance,

which is a testament to your presence in our lives

Even when death’s shadow is near, help us to not fear,

but to feel your comforting presence

We thank you for your abundance,

which overruns and dribbles down the container of our lives

Until we are joined with you forever,

don’t stop pursuing us with your sweet goodness.
